Most airlines these day only offer food for purchase onboard their aircraft. Their menus may not meet you dietary requirements so it is best to plan ahead. Most airlines will offer their menus online so you can check ahead.
With my recent career transition from accommodation (corporate and leisure) to Clients Solutions Manager with UNIGLOBE One Travel, I am often asked: What are the benefits of using a travel management company?
From the corporate perspective, the value of using a Travel Management Company (TMC) is apparent: detailed spend reporting, negotiation of discount programs, travel policy application, travel approval technology and traveller tracking services are some of the many reasons why it makes sense to consolidate your program. But the key to the best managed travel program is traveller compliance, and nowadays the “do what I said because I said so” method doesn’t work for everyone. What Are Hurricanes?
Hurricanes are violent tropical storms with sustained winds of at least 74 mph. They form over warm ocean waters – usually starting as storms. As they drift slowly westward, they are fueled by the warm waters of the tropics. Warm, moist air moves toward the center of the storm and spirals upward. This releases torrential rains. As updrafts suck up more water vapor, it triggers a cycle of strengthening that can be stopped only when contact is made with land or cooler water.

Duty of Care has been one of topics surrounding companies’ travel policy discussions and recent events in Turkey and France have made Duty of Care a growing concern among travel managers. What is a Hurricane Guarantee Policy?
A Hurricane Guarantee Policy is a type of insurance many tour operators, hoteliers and some airlines offer travellers. It gives travellers the ability to get a refund, change dates, or get credit for future travel if a hurricane forces their trip to be cancelled or interrupted. Just like any type of insurance policy it is imperative that you read and understand the fine print. In almost all cases heavy rains and tropical storms will not allow you to invoke your hurricane guarantee.
