Employers must be careful as they cannot ask employees to disclose their parental plans. Additionally companies cannot dictate which employees can travel to specific destinations based on their family status. So, what should companies do? There is currently no definitive answer, however awareness is key. Travellers may inform themselves about any travel health concerns in their intended destination and employers may provide travellers an option to refuse travel to a specific destination without disclosing the reason and without risk to their career over their choice.
